Malaysia’s revenge for their defeat in Jakarta has been completed, after in the first leg of AFF Cup 2010 final in Bukit Jalil, Malaysia managed to beat Indonesia with scores 3-0.
But behind the victory of Malaysia, there is an incident that became the cause for Indonesian defeat. In minute 54, the match was stopped due to the Indonesian team protest because of laser which is pointed to them, especially their goalkeeper, Markus.
After the match was started again, the Indonesian team concentration began to low. This opportunity is not wasted by Malaysia. Safee and his friends managed to make 3 goals.
Responding to the defeat of his team, Indonesian coach Alfred Riedl said that the laser is not the main cause Indonesia couldn’t win the match, he considered that the activities outside the training are its main causes.
Before go to Malaysia, Indonesia team was busied with the activities which are truly not part of the exercises and not needed by the team. Not only that, the news media attention to the Indonesian team is also very huge, it disturbed players concentration and caused the performance of Indonesia in first leg match of AFF Cup 2010 final is very different from previous matches.
