Discussion of U.S. Budget is Still Constrained, The Government Shut Down - U.S. House of Representatives leader, John Boehner said he felt heartened about the achievement of compromise, while the representatives of the people trying to break the impasse on the federal budget by 2011.

Boehner said in a press conference in Thursday morning, that the members of the House of Representatives will act most quickly on Friday to ensure that government offices continue to operate. He has pushed new short-term spending plans to continue funding the government federal for a week.

Wednesday night, Boehner met U.S. President Barack Obama and the Senate majority leader Harry Reid. After the meeting, Obama said the Democrats and Republicans has narrowed the differences of opinion on budget issues, but still there is no agreement.



Failure to reach agreement on Friday will lead to the government shut down, which makes about 800,000 federal government employees laid off without salary.

Salaries for military personnel also will be suspended, museums and national parks will close, and Washington, DC, will cancel the annual parade, cherry blossom festival on Saturday, and most of the activities of the city that are usually funded by Congress.

The phenomenon of goverment shutdown also could have an impact on U.S. government activities in overseas.
