New Video Chat Feature in Facebook

New Video Chat Feature in Facebook - Facebook seems to continue its superior in social web (Read: 5 Reason Why Google+ Will defeat Facebook). Its CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to release a new feature up. Facebook invite all users of Facebook, especially the press on Wednesday, July 6, at 10 am local time (Palo Alto, Calif., headquarters of Facebook), or July 7, at 12 pm tonight.

Invitation to join it seems to narrow a single product launch, video chat. Although not a major project, but Facebook is reportedly working with Skype to set up a video chat feature.

This cooperation will enhance the Skype user from Facebook. Facebook has more than 750 million active users worldwide, while Skype has only about 170 million. And if Facebook can be more interactive, with moving pictures and sound, this will be a new value added to Facebook.

This Skype’s project will be equipped desktop components. It is unclear whether this feature should be installed with new additional software, or only intended for someone who already has an account with Skype.

This integration will be an advantage for Microsoft that recently bought the company from Luxembourg. As we all know, Microsoft bought Skype for U.S. $ 8.5 trillion. Prices are very high for a free chat service, to the extent seen as foolish by some business analysts. It seems that Microsoft already knows the future is increasingly bright as its cooperation with Facebook.
