Facebook Messenger for Windows can be Tried Now - After reportedly leaked, Facebook finally decided to officially release a chat application for Windows users. Application that is called Facebook Messenger for Windows is also now available for download.
A number of features are presented by Facebook there, they are Facebook Chat, ticker feeds and notifications. This application was developed entirely by Facebook and does not involve Microsoft in the making process.
Actual application has been tested in November and this only works for Windows 7. The launch followed a similar application for IOS, Android and BlackBerry.
"We kept trying to make Facebook Messenger easier in accessible from different platforms," said a spokeswoman for Facebook. "Messenger is available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and now we present it for Windows, a new desktop application," added Facebook.
With a desktop client, users can still chat while browsing, without having to open Facebook.com. It is made unlocked by default, so that users can pan and move it on screen.
Indeed, in addition to Facebook Messenger for Windows, many third-party applications that offer a variety of Facebook activity. However, this application is claimed to deliver a more comfortable usage experience
It is not yet known whether Facebook will offer support for the operating system before Windows 7 or move directly into Windows 8, also for Mac and Linux, Facebook has not said anything.
